I saw  this car for sale in an ad and went to see it near Thousand Oaks, CA many years ago.  It was owned by a seller who specialized in later model luxury replicas and he was asking $10,000 for it which was a lot of money at the time and with the missing windshield and top it would have been a very expensive restoration.  It was a very well done design and I would liked to have had it very much but it was so long ago that I had just bought a running Darrin for $3,500 so it was really a lot of money at  the time.  I am glad to hear that it is still around and hopefully it will be restored to its full glory soon.

Gordie... Remembering time by Darrin cost. In 1974, I was offered 3 Darrins and a huge assortment of parts to rebuild them ,all in a boxcar, for $14,000.A professional restorer in Lake Ronkonkoma N.Y. got cold feet when he calculated he would loose money on the restorations!

I had to do the math on this one. According to an online converter, about 74K in 2018 dollars. Not pocket change now either, but it would sure make a guy think about it.
