two little holes by bumper

Anyone know what the two little holes in the front fender at the tips of the front bumpers are for? thanks

There is a steel bracket used on the ends of both bumpers that secures the bumper to the bottom of the fenders.  Four in all and on Frazer's as well as Kaisers.

Some 1947 Kaisers used a three piece bumper that required the use of extra brackets. A one piece unit was introduced and the holes were no longer needed. Rather than change the stamping, rubber and metal fillers were used in the holes. They're probably long gone...most are.

The filler part numbers are 202934 and 202940.
