1949 Kaiser Virginian
« on: March 27, 2019, 04:27:20 PM »
I found this ad for a 1949 Kaiser Virginian that's close by me. I tried calling the number, email but can't get hold of them. Are they in L.A. or Orange Ca. ?
Has anyone been here or seen the kaiser?

It looks like a nice one!!

The site shows "Back in the Day Classics" in Carson which is not very far from you.  Anyone would look good driving this car!

I drove out to 1040 w. Hoover ave. Orange, Ca. yesterday and found out they just moved there from
Carson. I saw the kaiser, nice car like the pictures show. Ser.# K-492-041092  Body# 1777

I've seen this car before in an ad in Hemmings Motor News, Nov. 2018.

 Q. Is that a KF drivers side mirror on this car? Seems like I've seen them on other Virginian's

They were still unpacking and setting things up. I talked
to Tony there, nice people. They also had the KF neon dealer sign we see now and then and also a round
dealer sign I don't think I've seen before. I ask if they do events, like a KF club meet and he said yes.

They're asking $52,500 for the car. That's roughly double what a good example is fetching in today's market.

This one looks like the one in Orange I saw. It has the same side mirror...

I think it is. Look at the vin # 808901

He paid $39,600 for it.

K-F did not make an outside mirror to fit the hard tops or convertibles so if you wanted one you would need to go to a sports car source and that it is probably what this one is,  You have a sharp eye!

Dealers commonly double or more the normal handshake level sale price.  And they complain when forum members like us point it out.
No old cars owned.
