That is indeed interesting. David Shelburg and his wife came to my car dealership to talk to me about becoming a dealer around 1989. I decided not to invest but I am sure that many people did and his story would make a very interesting one. I still have his business card, dealer application and sales folder with a turquoise Darrin on the front. I know that he used a similar folder with a red car that I would like to add to my collection. Does anyone have one that they would sell? Shelburg used the name Silly Goose Enterprises Inc. for his corporate name and he did get a California manufacturers license from the California Dept. of Motor Vehicles. I don't know where he was going to have the cars made and don't think that he made any cars but did make a lot of body parts. He was going to equip the cars with new G.M. drive trains with power windows and air conditioning. It would have been a good idea but it never happened. Does anyone know if he is still living? He offered me a $2,000 discount from the $5,500 franchise fee because I was a KFOCI member and he hand wrote the modification on my application form.
