I ran across an early photo of a prototype Henry J being tested at Willow Run and it has one chrome and one painted hubcap. It appears that they were once thinking of putting painted hub caps on the Henry J's and it certainly does look cheap. We're glad that they chose the small chrome plated caps instead. The car clearly shows a painted gas cap as we now know is correct on the Henry J's and Darrins.
