Allstate or Henry J 9" Brake Shoe

I have looked all over the internet for front brake shoes for my 1953 Allstate. Tried Bendix 1221/51, Centric 111.00510 and Bendix AB-51 with no luck. I purchased the velocity NB53 from Ebay but they are 11" and will not work. Any Ideas or are they long gone like the 6 cylinder HJ waterpump?

My parts list (my parts on hand for my cars) says the shoes for a 1955 Willys Aero are the same as a HJ.  My list says the industry number is R51.  ( That may be a NAPA number or Raybestos part number ) The full size Kaisers are a R53 which may explain those 11 inch shoes as the last part of that part number is '53'.

An alternative is to have your shoes relined. These guys did a good job on my Aero shoes.

EDIT: Something I noticed and you might keep an eye out for is that some of the 9'' Willys Jeep shoes have 1 3/4'' wide linings instead of 2''.

Henry J and Allstate brake shoes (shoes with lining on them)  are the same as used on the Jeep DJ-3A, DJ-5 & DJ-6 models, According to the JEEP PARTS LIST OF POPULAR PARTS dated December 1967 the Kaiser-Jeep P/N is 805616.  The K-F number for a set of 2 shoes with lining is 209607;  this number was changed by Willys Motors to the 8056516 in nOVEMBER 1955.  Try Rudy Phillips or Larry Barker.  You may also want to check in your area about parts for Jeep Dispatcher series (DJ) types noted here.

Just confirmed the Velocity NB51 set from EBay is the correct set for the front brakes. They have the modern linings not asbestos though. $27.87 shipped, thx
