Hydra-Matic light
« on: January 03, 2020, 12:17:51 AM »
Happy New Year!  Does anyone know how light gets into the HydraMatic quadrant on a '53 Manhattan?  Is there a bulb in the steering column somewhere?  I'd like to see if I can get it a bit brighter.

The indicator needle you see is actually a loop assembly inside the housing that contains a bulb. A couple small screws are on the back side of the housing and if removed, will expose the bulb. Dirt and dust build up inside the assembly so a good cleaning should help. It did on my 53!
