« on: December 12, 2019, 04:00:34 PM »
I got the book about Kaiser Travelers and in the book there was this picture of a prototype Traveler that I had never seen before.

Has anyone else seen it???

The late Walter Miller from New York had a few different copies of these photos in his inventory for sale but I do not know what is going to happen to his inventory since his passing.  He had the most old literature in the world.

From what I gathered on the old Walter Miller store website; the material is in process of being cataloged with an auction scheduled in 2020.  I don't know if this will be individual pieces or if items will be "bundled" and sold in groups.

As for the picture itself, it is one of several for an alternative way to do the Traveler & offered to Sears Roebuck & Company in 1948 in response to their first inquiry on getting a private-labeled car for the Sears Auto Centers to sell.  I've added a few more pictures here.

Thanks for posting these pictures. It is interesting to see that the grille used on this prototype is a Frazer, not a Kaiser.

Fascinating to see one of the other ideas for the design.
