chrome license plate frames

The original '54 Michigan license plate on my car is 13 5/8" x 6".  Standard plates are 12" x 6".  Couldn't find a source for an odd size license plate.  Bought a set of plastic chrome door edge guards for $4,  notched them where I wanted them to bend around the corners of the plate, cut to length, and voila--a chrome license plate frame for my oversized plates.  You probably know all this already but I was quite surprised.  Really dressed up a raw edge.  Hope this helps someone with an odd sized license plate.

here is an adjustable chrome Frame that is made for the larger 1950"s year of Manufacture plates. I have used them several times .They were an accessory available for the 1955 Chevrolet and is still sold as a reproduction. I have included the E bay Link.
