According to Bill Tilden, who came to the 2010 Midwest Division Meet, this group is more or less made up of industry insiders and retired motor vehicle people.  Normally some representative of the family will appear on behalf of the inductee if that person is dead or otherwise cannot make the event.

It would be nice if the KFOCI had some kind of representation, but it would only be a person at a table.  The committee does not want anyone from the club to speak or otherwise make a big noise.  That is the impression I got when I received an email about it a few weeks ago (I don't know if I would call that an invitation).

The Automotive Hall of Fame has a small museum on the grounds of the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.

Bill Tilden and Richard Langworth will be at the event...tho not necessarily representing the KFOCI. Mike Knittle and I spoke to Bill and he has agreed to say a few words on behalf of the club if asked to do so.

As far as members of the Kaiser Family in attendance I believe several of Edgar Kaiser's six children will be in attendance.
William Chapin, The President of the Automotive Hall of Fame, called me this summer trying to make contact with Kaiser Family members.
Upon contacting them, they seemed quite interested in traveling back east for the ceremony.
Later Mr Chapin emailed me and let me know they had contacted him.
Edgar's kids have some interesting stories as they were in Willow Run around Edgar's dinner table in the late forties and early fifties as teenagers.

I've only been in the KFOCI since 1982 and really wish I had joined earlier so I could have benefited from Bill Tilden's contributions to the club.
