Seeking Front Motor Mounts
« on: April 29, 2011, 01:51:23 PM »
I am currently looking for the two front motor mounts for my '51 kaiser as mine have cracked.

What do they go for roughly and where can I purchase some?

Don't know for sure, but I would guess Rudy might have some.      2136 WALNUT ST,  RAMONA,  CA  92065-1762 (760) 789-3608

Autozone and NAPA both carry the motor mounts. They're less than $10 each at both locations.

Would you happen to have a part number?

Oh, didn't know they would have them.  Thanks, Joefrazer.  Looks like there's no need to call Rudy.

I am refering to an old NAPA catalog so the part number may not be current their computer. Kaiser, Frazers and HJs used NAPA/Belkamp cushion 602-1020. The body/rubber block is 1 1/2 inches high. This was used on many Jeeps vehicles (sometimes upside down on one side) so if the parts person doesn't understand Kaiser, say "early CJ-5." But beware, there is part number 602-1021 which is the same thing except 2 inches high and was used on 4WD Jeep station wagons.

BTW, motor mount cushions as well as engine gaskets are something that you should not bother to buy NOS if fresh items are available locally. I was rather disappointed 3 years ago at the KF National when a vendor wanted $10 a piece for USED KF motor mount cushions. They were still in one piece but I thought his price was getting close to what I could get new.

The 602-1020 number is current...I checked the box from those I bought last fall.
