ALLSTATE interiors

I am thinking about getting another ALLSTATE to replace the one I sold. Does anyone have a proto of an original interior. I do not think I have ever seen one. I appreciate your help. I would post a photo of my last one ,but I am computer challenged.

There are illustrations of both types of upholstery in the 1952 and 1953 Allstate sales brochures.  The 1952 was a plaid in plastic material while the 1953 appears to be a striped vinyl.  There used to be a link to Ben Walkers K-F collection on the club web site and he had both brochures illustrated.  The common  press kit photo of the 1952 Allstate shows a little of the back seat plaid material through the left side windows.  The 1953 Allstate dealers album has a nice illustration of the front seat upholstery and it appears that it would not be a problem duplicating the design.  The Allstate used the same rubber floor mats as used by the Henry J.  I have never seen factory photos of the Allstate interiors although there is a small illustration of the 1952 door panel on page 153 of "The Last Onslaught on Detroit".

Here's a pic from a 53 Allstate. The Sears sold cars used seat covers that the stores and catalog sold as covers for most cars. As a result, seats and door panels for the Allstates are unique to those cars.

Here's the dash layout. Note that the ash tray is left of the steering wheel when the Allstate radio is fitted.

Another couple shots of the dash with more detail around the seats and door panels. The pedal pads are not original because the factory installed ones had disintegrated. Also, as I was sprucing up the dash, the starter button cover fell off and I forgot to put it back on before the pic was taken. This is a 12K mile original car and aside from the aforementioned pedal pads, was never redone...according to the original owner.

those are great photos of the 1953  Allstate.  Original cars are much more reliable for details than factory literature which is prepared from prototype vehicles.
