National Convention
« on: May 30, 2012, 09:27:10 PM »
Well, the national convention is just a few weeks away and I'm starting to get excited. I hope many of you are planning to attend too...even if just for a day or two. I will be bringing items to sell, both from the manufacturing fund as well as from my personal parts pile. If there's anything in particular that you're looking for, let me know and if I have it to sell, I will bring it along!

See you in Tennessee!

We here in the Far West expect lots of photo.  Wish we could attend.  Headed for the Western Divisional right now in Klamath Falls Oregon.  Photos to follow.

I finally sent in my registration yesterday. I am hoping to bring Old Toby, but it does not look like that is gonna happen unless someone is in my neighborhood with an empty car trailer (any takers?).

Also, anyone want to share a room for Wednesday & Thursday nites?

Well Rick, that is a disappointment about Old Toby. But, if you can't bring a KF/KW car, another orphan would be better than a Honda. You might have to do some explaining if it is a Plymouth/Pontiac/Oldsmobile, though.

I was hoping to stop down just for a day or so and also visit Nashville as I'm a guitar enthusiast too and Gruhn Guitars in Nashville is internationally known and I've always wanted to see it. I may have trouble getting off work that week now - I'll know on Monday or Tues of next week. I will not be bringing a KF product unfortunately.

Barbara and I will not make it this year.  GM has no weeks off this summer and we have packing to do in Ohio plus finding better quarters for me in NY state.

The two PNW 1951 coupes appear to be true business coupes.  Would love to see the body plates on them.  I am glad to see that there are two more 3 passenger kaisers with rear package shelf floors on the road.  The one Barbara and I had is still on display at the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum.

Looks like the picture shows a back seat in the business coupe.

Both of them were K-511-3 on the Data Plate.
Steve Dexter indicated he had the plywood shelf for the back area but had removed it and put in a back seat as he thought he was going to pick up Larry Barker at the airport and needed the seating room.

I told him I was disappointed he had done that as I have never seen a business coupe - let alone one with the back shelf in place.

It looks like I may be able to stop by the National on Mon and Tues so I may do so. I will not be bringing a KF product unfortunately but if anyone wants to meet up on one of those days, let me know and we'll make it happen.

I won't be at the National til Wednesday - why don't you just hang around for a while, Fid? Unfortunately, I won't have Old Toby with me either, the coolant loss problem is still unresolved.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to hang around till Wed as I need to be back home by Thursday afternoon. It was only by luck that I am able to get down there at all so I'm going to do so. Would really like to have been able to prepare and drive one of my Js but it will be a quick drive-by attend as it is.

Please check the Frazer forum for the latest information regarding reproduction of 1951 Frazer grille emblems.  I do not do the Facebook thingy so am trying to get the information out on the forum. Pictures are posted.
