I'll be getting in on Tuesday night with my Dad and five year old daughter, Lucy with the 12K mile '49 Virginian.  Look forward to seeing everyone!

Re: National Convention--The Dragon

My wife and  just drove "The Dragon" in our Darrin.
The Dragon is a scenic mountain road with 318 turns in 11 miles!
Turns, as in switch-backs and hairpins, leading to continual up and down shifts.
The trip was 5 1/2 hours, including the time to ward off crowds of people wanting to see the car.
Along the way are professional photogs taking pics of the cars as-well-as the droves of two-wheelers leaning into the curves.  The pics get posted online for purchase.
This was the most "funnest" road that I have ever driven.
Not appropriate for trailer queens.  They could not handle the layer of bugs on the grille!!

Where should we park our truck & trailer when we arrive?  Is there space onsite or do we go to a nearby parking lot or??????????????

Ask one of the meet organizing people there.  If not sure check at the Hospitality Room.  That's the way it normally works if there is no designated (with a sign) parking area

I appreciate it.  I would think there would be some place designated for us trailer queen people.
