Fender covers
« on: April 08, 2009, 10:39:28 PM »
I was just thinking, way back when I meet a really nice guy, I was 18 in the marines at Camp Pendelton. I needed a fender cover for my studebaker, so I bought it from the vender, since he lived up north, I went with a friend and picked it up. His name was Don Noska, he had a frazer convertible if I remember right. was just wondering what happened to him, and the car. I believe that was in 1980. Would like to get a fender cover for my kaiser for the car shows..

Don Noska passed away in 2005 or 2006, thereabouts. I remember reading about it in the club bulletin.  I remember Don was quite a guy.

I think if I'm going to have fender covers, I'm going to get some that I can actually use. If I'm just getting them to set on my Kaiser's fenders at a car show, I'm on a slippery slope. I'm then going to need my Kaiser embroidered Sears and Roebuck dungarees, my V-necked white T-shirt with the Joe Frazer iron-on, the Polo shirt with the Kaiser emblem, Coveralls with various K-F patches, Henry J socks, and etc. so I can look like a mania.. I mean mechanic working on my Special at the show/meet.

Weaz, whats wrong with "Kaiser embroidered Sears and Roebuck dungarees, my V-necked white T-shirt with the Joe Frazer iron-on..."?   :D  Funny!
Seriously though, I think the Joe Frazer t-shirt would look cool, certainly better then that Che Guevara shirt some no-nothing people wear these days!

Ha! Thanks for the idea! I've been trying to think of some K-F t-shirt ideas. Che styled Henry and Joe shirts! HA! It's going on my to-do list.  ;D

There is a nice Joe Frazer tee shirt with a large front end of a 1947-8 Frazer and the quote "..brilliantly  engineered, smartly designed and honestly built."  Joseph W. Frazer, July, 1946.  I don't remember where I got it but I wear it frequently at shows where I display my '48 Manhattan.

wow, I have enjoyed the post. I haven't yet, but do plan on buying a fender cover. Mostly for display in front of the car at car shows. I put the owners manual on the seat, I will but the shop manual, and other cool Kaiser stuff out. Won't need to at a KF event, but I think it''s neat at a car show where you are the only KF car there.  :)

Although barely visable in the images they look like nice shirts.  Are they still available?

You talking to me, gordie?

Those are just concept images. I'm working on a few other designs, and then I'll start a t-shirt poll thread to pick the best ones and stop hijacking Orphanauto's thread. I'm looking into actual t-shirt production here at a local shop.
