main power wire

hey guys where does the main power  for all the lights come from ..my lights dont work or the radio but the heater does.are there any diagrams of the whole electrical system ..thanks for all the help guys.

You need a wiring diagram.  They're available for all cars and are indispensible (Like shop manuals, parts lists, etc.). 

What year, make, and model?

Get yourself a Kaiser-Frazer factory shop manual (the blue cover 47-48-49 and 1950 version).  It not only has lubrication charts and wiring diagrams, it also has a lot of diagnostics and other how-to type information.  If you have a car, you should have the shop manual and parts book to go with it.
