If you clock off 57 WORKING days (no weekends or holidays) from that point you have an approximation as to when the body started down the fabrication line. 1953 model year production information does not break it down the way 1952 model year stuff does so I can't get better than that.
New, delivered at Willow Cottage with no other options, the car would retail for $1,528.73 plus state/local taxes (if applicable), license & title fees. Options included vents, directional signals, oil filter, heater, radio and rear side window opening vent windows.
One other note. In a July 10, 1953 memo to dealers and distributors Ray Abernathy notes that "in view of the small number of Accessory Group No. 34 cars," which suggests that this combination was rather unusual (but still in the order guide).. The factory pushed dealers to move the HJ with fixed back seat and deck lid, while the $1,499.00 factory delivered price was for an HJ without any Accessory Group.
