It may,it depends on the offset of the wheel. Too much offset to the inside may cause it to hit the leaf spring or rub the front suspension. Too much on the outside could rub the inner rear fender etc. You would have to test fit and check.

15x4.5 or 15x5 is best...anything wider will cause steering issues when turning.

I am running 15x6 1980's ford wheels on my 53 Dragon with 235 15 R Goodyear Radials the ride is excellent no rubbing on anything . the drum alignment pin must be removed and the center hub hole must be filed "slightly as to not bind on the drum" it was easy to do and I got them from a Lincoln.

I had 225's on my 53K and it was nearly impossible to get the tires on the rear wheels with them inflated. Also, the steering was very heavy due to the radial tire and the increased road "patch". I'd go with 205 or 215 if radials are one's choice.

I used Ford rims 15x7 zero offset, drilled a hole for the mounting pin and used a die grinder to grind out the center hole, I have 235x15 radials.
This is on a '51 Henry J. It is lowered 2" in the front and3" in the rear, there is enough clearance, but not much. I can get the back tires off but I have to jack it up with the body.
The farthest I have gone is two round trips to the Seaway meet in Port Clinton,Ohio, and it is driven every day weather permitting.
I have also had it aligned and it has worked out pretty good, however I do not drive it over 55 mph.
