I need to rejoin.  I was a past member, but life events got me off track and I lapsed by membership. Dad was one a member from way back..
I will get back my membership status now that I am getting back onboard with my car.

Well, the real question is what will I find out tomorrow .. the restoration shop should know tomorrow if my current tank will be able to be repaired.  If not, then I have no choice.

Jack,  that last pic, the Red Darrin, is the ONLY other Darrin I have scene that is like mine in one respect. It has no bumper guards.  As far as I can tell mine must have been taken off right after the car was purchased because there no "wear marks" visible where they would have rubbed on the bumper.

I was blessed to have most of my part original to the car when I had it restored. My car has won a AACA National First.  I was able to drive on the show field at that time... This was back in 2000.  It is a complete car and outside of what looks like to be some mechanical part replacements I shouldn't have a big a bottom line as you have had to look at.  Darrin #164 has been in my family since 1974.
