Seems like i remember my father driving his 51 frazer hardtop from washington to a national in Colorado in the 70's   , can anyone pinpoint that date ?

It was the mid seventies but i cant seem to find a quarterly with any info about it . He pulled a thirteen foot camp trailer behind it that trip.

Monument CO was 1976.

Ed Hausgen of Elsberry, MO still owned it as of 2012. He had it at Sweetwater, TN.

If you ever run across that placemat i would really like to have a photo  copy . Thanks for the year , i looked up my fall 1976 Quarterly but the pictures of the national are not clear enough to pick him out of the crowd. Actually surprised he left without an award of some kind , his Green 51 f hardtop was freshly restored and pretty stunning at the time.

Ed Hausgen still owns the '51 factory convertible pictured above. He is in bad health but good spirits, according to an update from Lew Retzer last week.

Jake, the pics you posted earlier are from the KFOC Handbook from 1969, front and back covers, I believe the second edition and was edited by Richard Langworth. The first edition was edited by Jeanette & Andy Schroyer in 1967.

That car was last at the Shipshewana National meet.  Ed has owned it for may years.  It seems to be the only convertible prototype that survived.  There is a KF factory photo that shows two of them in the factory garage.

Gordie - please post that pic of the 2 convertibles if you have a copy. There is some disagreement as to how many were built by the factory. Some say 6, some say Ed's was the only one. Any documentation would be appreciated.
