early body mounts
« on: September 28, 2009, 10:07:21 PM »
Does anyone know where to get early body mounts or some reasonable facsimile. I have a set that the club sells but they are for the 51-5s and make the body set too high and I can't get the front clip to line up. I looked at an original car and the mounts were about a quarter inch thick and rubber impregnated fabric and the ones I have look like hockey pucks with a hole in the middle. Thanks

Try KF parts vendor Rudy Phillips at 760-789-3608.

I've tried him. I know Fred Walker has passed, is the family still selling parts?

Fred's wife Erma and his son Barry are still interested in selling the KF parts.

If anyone is interested, Bob Drake sells mounts just like the 51-5s only in different thicknesses from 1/8 to 3/8ths for $25 for 25 pieces.
