What color would paint code 370 be?

Then why is the original color green, even has factory ink stamping on the cowl next to the data plate, car only has 25,xxx miles on it

That paint color looks more like 355 - Ceramic Green. Can you post an image of the entire data plate? Did you ever find a 6cyl engine for your car?

Maybe you are reading 390 as 370?

I was also going to post what h-e-n-r-y-j posted as sometimes the tags can be a bit worn  or a rivet can obscure part of the number. A photo of the tag would be best. A car with a VIN that low should be Aloha green as the first 5000 (apprx) were.

Sorry, It is 390 i was going by what was in the KFC registry, it is wrong here is a pic if the data plate

Thanks BobsJ!  Yes, I was scratching my head so hard I was about to draw blood! Now it makes sense. You have to be careful with the registries as there can be typos (I'm guilty) etc. as people enter info.
