You can tell the sellers who know nothing about the old overdrives. This is simply an overdrive solenoid. "Kickdown Solenoid" is a mis-nomer. Kickdown refers to dis-engaging the overdrive while moving. It is accomplished via "Kickdown" switch which refers to the fact that you have to press the accelerator to the floor to operate the switch, hence "kicking it down." Automatic transmissions have this same feature to "kick it down" a gear when you floor the pedal. The solenoid engages the overdrive mechanism, the kickdown feature dis-engages the overdrive. No such thing as a "kickdown solenoid." The price is steep but I have seen NOS units clear $325 recently.
