Willys Aero on Craigslist
« on: October 29, 2016, 08:51:14 PM »
This Willys Aero is being advertised on Craigslist as a "1952 Willys Aero Ace Eagle 2 door".  It actually is a 2 door Aero Ace as Eagles were hardtops.  The ad indicates that this car has an automatic transmission.  Although this car is definitely is in very poor condition, there appears to be some pieces worth saving.  No engine compartment shots are provided.  This car can be found at the following link:

Cool to see but yes too far gone.  It states I think 'overdrive' on the trunk so this would in fact be a 3 speed manual?

Originally this would have been a neat car with that slender C pillar.
No old cars owned.

It is, indeed, a 1952 Aero Ace. Split windshield gives it away. More than likely a 3-speed with overdrive. The Overdrive script is off a 1952 or so Ford. Rough car. Has heater/defroster and the optional steering wheel with the chrome spokes. Too bad there's no pic under the hood.
