It's definitely a nice one.

Some things in the engine compartment caught my eye.
Not knowing much about '52's, is that 6 wire plug wire loom on all '52's?
How about that battery cable junction on the firewall & the windshield washer bottle, factory?
That green head is interesting, but the block looks gray.

Sure hope they post the selling price after the auction.

The battery junction isn't factory. I had an Aero parts car with the washer bottle mounted in the same spot.

For domestic low altitude production the block should be gray and the head should be black.

It is indeed a nice car. I'm going to keep an eye on that one.

Could that be a battery disconnect under the dash?

It's on the firewall between the air cleaner & wiper motor

All the sparkplug wires I've seen have 2 clusters of 3 wires each at the top of the valve cover - one before the carb, one after. The battery junction box on the firewall is something I've never seen on an Aero before. Standard domestic low altitude head should be black, not green, engine block should be light gray. The Trico washer is a nice accessory, dealer installed but not available officially until August 10, 1953, $8.56 retail, $6.66 dealer cost.

It is indeed a nice car. Who's gonna buy it?

I think this auction started today and ends on the 22nd. I don't know when this particular car crosses the block but better act fast if you want it!!

A buddy just sent me a video of that. The car looked even more polished up & shiny than the pre auction photos.

Strong money but worth it my opinion. Nice, clean Aeros are not common.

My buddy recorded it to DVD and literally replayed it on his TV and recorded it with his smartphone to email to me. So, it's slightly degraded but still good video, 2 minutes long, 12MB.

I didn't hear it but my buddy said BJ stated at some point they thought this was the first Aero they'd auctioned.

Also, I discovered a couple days ago than an an engine I have from a 1/2 Aero parts car I bought a few years ago has that 6 wire plug wire loom like the auction car. The parts car had the early production 2 1/2 degree trunnions, so I suspect the auction car was also one of the very early production models.

Was it just me hearing this, or did Mike Joy refer a number of times to Kaiser FrazIER (cringe) while talking about this Willys Aero Ace? You would think he would know better.
