Now that we're moved into our new home, I've finally been able to start digging thru the stack of old Darrin newsletters that came with the car. Most were produced by Andy Schroyer, a long time owner from California. Andy was instrumental in keeping Darrins on the road by coming up with ways to do things that truly defined "thinking out of the box". One of the ideas he had was to reproduce Darrin air cleaners in fiberglass because, apparently, quite a few cars were missing their originals. In one of his newsletters he describes making the molds for the top and bottom as well as having sourced the materials needed for the screen and mesh center.
While I am not interested in owning one, I'm wondering if any were produced and if so, if anyone has one.
