Lee,
just what I needed.

That being said, how do the additional holes in the door handle come into play with these parts?
Don't mean to sound like a broken record, but I am at a loss to understand additional holes at 90deg. being useful.

i'm 72, walk me thru it.

Hi Terry
I am not sure why some have 2 holes in them. They may be repops. I think when the mechanism was changed early in the production and were installed at the dealerships they may have had to drill another hole to install the handle. I think the one hole works with the handle in either direction.
I am not an authority that’s for sure. The Darrin door hardware to me seems very crude but it works pretty good. It can get very sloppy over time and does wear some and generally need the rivits tightened from time to time. Once you learn how it works it does become easier to work with.
There are a lot of door adjustments and very little space to get your hands in.
Not sure any of this is true but to me it sort of makes sense.

The answer to do I have more door parts the answer is no unfortunately.

what is the ID of the hole for the handle?

for the handles that you have with 4 holes--are all holes same ID?

the handle that I have with 4 holes---2 are so enlarges I don't know what they started out
