Membership renewal

I received my monthly news bulletin marked with a red stamp saying RENEW NOW and LAST ISSUE. Sorry to wait till the last issue but trying to renew to this club is difficult and time consuming. Today I made a phone call to the number in the bulletin under CLUB CONTACTS with no answer so I sent off an Email that came right back. I am a current member of the Studebaker Drivers Club and it takes 2 minutes to renew on that site online. Can I get some help? Maybe for starters someone could let me know how much the dues are and where to send the stone after I chisel it out. I'm hesitant to send anything to the address on the bulletin because I don't that that person is responsible for the renwals.  Thanks

I emailed the renewal form to you; annual dues & mailing address are included.

On the KFOCI Web Site Home Page (where you accessed this forum), you can click on "Join KFOCI" and renew your membership by paying with PayPal.  That's how I do it every year and it's quick and easy.  Hope this helps.

I tried that and a "password" is required.  Why do we need a password to renew our membership.  I end up mailing a check to the club renewal address which is a big waste of time for everyone involved.  Please do away with that secret password!   Our membership number should be all of the identification that we should need.

The password is a PayPal requirement. We went back to them and asked to have it dropped but they refused, citing security as the reason.

There are 2 passwords required when renewing online using PayPal ... 1) to get into the member-only portion of the club website (this + your member # guarantees that you & only you can access/edit/update your info) and 2) to access your PayPal account. 

If you do not have a KFOCI website password, contact Deb Wilson at membership@kfclub.com for a new generic one-time-use-only password. Once used you MUST change it for future access.

FYI: if you click "Join KFOCI" instead of using your member # & password you will be assigned a new member number.

  A few more Life Members and the club would go broke.  If the club apportions out $35.00 per year from the life member figure, the balance keeps dropping.  Before the 15th year, the entire amount of the LM fee is gone and they get free rides.

Interesting number   $35 annually   Boy I got my money back years ago then.

How would that break out for membership benefits
12 Bulletins @ $1.50 each = $18
1 Calendar @ $7             =   $7
2 Quarterlies @ $5 each =   $10

Where would the miscellaneous expense come from ??

Maybe Life Members should be required to get their bulletins via email?  Or paying a fee to have them printed and mailed.

In these days of budgets being over spent ... gulp ... we do need to keep our house in order.

As a life member, I immediately jumped on the bandwagon for receiving my newsbulletin in an e-mail. My local Studebaker Club had so many go to e-mailed newsletters that they were able to reduce club dues by $5 a year. EVERYONE on this forum should be receiving their newsletter by e-mail instead of snail mail. Unfortunately, the U S Postal Service will be going bankrupt soon.
