Delco starter solenoid
« on: April 25, 2015, 09:22:31 PM »
Delco starter question.
I need to replace the starter solenoid on top of the Henry Js starter. Of course it has to removed from the car to allow it. The mounting base of the solenoid has 4 slotted holes that allow the solenoid to be moved either forward or to the rear. Keep in mind the plunger both extends the drive and closes the swith. Where or how do you position it to do both correctly?

Similar starter.

I believe the Motors manual has a section on adjusting it Jim. When I get home I'll scan it and send it to you.
