Tinted Glass
« on: February 13, 2017, 10:36:35 PM »
Was the tinted glass option a full package only or by the piece for the Aero? I see all the pieces in the options section of the parts book but that could be just for replacements.
I have a '54 Salesman's Data Book and even though a section explains the glass, and there's 2 pages of options listed, nothings mentioned about tinted glass.
Anyone have any dealer info that mentions that option?
I'm trying to determine if a tinted windshield could be ordered on a car with clear on all the other glass.

Not that this answers my original question, I did find the tinted glass option listed with other options for the Lark in the "Specifications" section of the data book. Listed similarly for the fancier models too.

I don't have the car to check, but I am pretty sure my Lark had a tinted windshield only.

If I can remember when I get home, I will scan the factory bulletin about option packages and prices - that may answer some questions. I know that there was a tinted windshield (I have one) and tinted glass all the way round, but I don't believe they were separate options.

That would be great, Thanks!
