Six months before any Kaiser or Frazer cars were made, KFC already had Dealers and Distributors signed up and on January 20th, 1946 the premier showing of the new cars was held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. That same night a premier dinner was held by Henry J. Kaiser and Joseph W. Frazer at the neighboring Hotel Roosevelt in honor of those Dealers and Distributors. A huge 11x17 inch stiff menu was given to these Dealers and Distributors that opened threefold and had photographic portraits of Henry and Joe on each side and the actual menu in the center and noted that the Toastmaster was Joseph W, Frazer. This menu was accompanied by a 12 x 20 inch frameable photograph of the ballroom packed with tables of ten dealers and wives with Kaiser Frazer banners hanging on the walls. It must have been a very busy night for Henry and Joe and what fun it would have been to be there and see all the enthusiasm and excitement of the weekend That was probably the most lavish party given by the Corporation and by October 28th 1946 there was a Distributor reception but this time at the Factory and an 8 1/2 x 11" folder menu was used and a 8 1/2 x 11" photo was available of the distributors gathered together at the General Offices front door. All of the Distributors names and locations were printed on the back of the menu. There were other Dealer and Distributor meetings for new car announcements drive-away's and special promotions. Guy Lombardo was the entertainment for one of them. He and his whole band signed some of the menus. That was 72 years ago and most of us were not even born yet!
