51 Deluxe electrics
« on: December 08, 2018, 11:54:20 AM »
Just trying to sort the electrics on my 51 Deluxe. Some items are working, others not. Are there any fuses to be found?

The radio is fused and depending upon the heater installed, it may be as well. Both are in line fused, there is no fuse block. The headlight switch on your car employs a circuit breaker that's attached to the back of the switch.

A note - there is no central fuse box/bus on the cars of the 1950s and earlier.  Each electrical item, radio, heater, overdrive etc. have their own in line fuses. You can trace the wires and find them.  Otherwise there is a master circuit breaker on the end of the headlight switch. If you can find a shop manual for the car that will be a big help.
