I can see the potential also but the 10 grand price translates to no sale. Look at the car closely and add up what it needs.

I  seem to think I have seen this car before in an online auction someplace.  The car is nice but the price starting is high and something just doesn't sit well.  But I cannot place it.  I may be confusing it with another one but the photo's seem like I have seen them before.  Does anyone have any input or have seen this car in person?  Thanks Kenn   ???

Hola from Mexico!

When I saw the first pictures of this car I thought it was my old one which, had I known what would be happening to it, would not have  been sold in March 2009.  While color is the same on the outside and mine was a later deluxe, my car had overdrive rather than automatic, better chrome all around, but had significant front seat wear on the driver side.   In otherwords it is not my old car.  However, given the pictures, I would guess you would have to put in at least another 7-9 thousand dollars to re-due all the chrome (including bumpers) paint the dash (upper) the correct color, and do all the other work it appears to need.  A better price for the car given that it appears to be a condition 4 would be closer to 5-6 thousand in today´s poor market for K-F products.

It is too bad that people do not do their homework before putting a car up for sale.  It is true Kaiser-Frazer, Nash, Hudson and some other types rarely go up for sale, but unless you find the pérfect buyer, the cars are not worth all that much compared to what people expext them to be due to scarcity.  If that was the case, I would expect a Star, Durant, Locomobile or Huppmobile to bring well into the 6 figure range due to their scarcity.

Don't overlook this '52 "Kaiser-frazer" -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1953-Kaiser-frazer-Deluxe-/190417885135?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2c55ca57cf

According to the ad everything is "orignal (sic) and in mint condition"
I didn't know that '52 Kaiser Deluxes had no grill and also had '51 Kaiser parking lights.
Another seller who really thinks he's got something. The fact that he calls it a "Kaiser-frazer" is an indication of his naivette.
Looks like he didn't read the portion about the hatchback that he just cut and pasted into the ad as the car in the ad is clearly not a hatchback.

Sorry, it was business in Mexico...saw a dealership not far from the hotel (on the way to the plant but too far to walk in the heat) that sold old cars and I do mean old (Model A's, early 1950's DeSoto Diplomat, late 40's Oldsmobile, etc).  Tried to get pictures out of the cab window and hope they worked out ok.  No K-F products noted on the entire trip.
