I know I'm not alone in this, and it's certainly a much-discussed topic, but I've been having some vapour lock issues lately, even on relatively cool days: this morning it was no more than 65 out but once the engine was fully warmed up (perhaps a 25 minute drive) it would falter and chug after a red light.  The electric backup pump generally saves the day, but I'd like to see if I can get the problem a bit more under control.
Things I have done:
 The carburetor is recently rebuilt.
 The car runs on ethanol-free gas all the time (premium-level fuel is all ethanol-free here).
 I have diverted the fuel line around the manifolds.
 I have insulated the fuel pump, filter and line.

The strange thing is that this is a new problem;  it started on a very hot drive in May and now it's pretty consistent.  Last year it never happened once.
Should I be thinking of trying a carb spacer?  Incidentally, this weird gasket/spacer was on the car before the carb was rebuilt.  Have any of you seen one of these?  I wonder if I should put it back on?
Should I just run the electric pump all the time?  It's a Carter 4259.
I'll put in a picture of the new fuel line layout.
