In case anyone has an inoperative fuel gauge, I want to pass along my solution after replacing the sender unit and trying to install a new gauge and sending unit wire. Found a connector in the wiring under the dash above the light switch that was disconnected. Connected the two wires, problem solved. Old sender unit tested ok.
