REAR SPRING SWEAKS

My car has developed a squeak that appears to be from the spring pack rubbing against the inside of the box-frame.  No amount of oil/grease solves the problem.
Since the spring pack is net to a protruding pin in the lower shock mount, adjusting inboard does not seem to be possible.

Suggestions?

Hi Terry,
Inside the frame there should be a a shim about 3/4" long welded inside the frame  to center the spring, is it still there? I used a stainless bolt to avoid the bolt rusting causing squeaking. Were the spring bushings replaced. I have seen the wrong bushings put in, if they are to small they will squeak. the rubber leaf spring pads if not correct or put in can also cause a squeak.

Hi, I pulled mine and had them re arced. Great result because the rear sag is gone and Darrin 104 sits like a new car.

Cost 200.00 ...but they operate and look new.

We did not make sure each bolt went back into it previous location...we paid dearly for that goof. If u arc them make sure to return each part into its former location.
