"Some rust in the floor"...yup, when I can see grass through the holes in the floorboards, that thar's one honest seller!!! (also a dreamer with his pricing!)

I agree he is not going to sell any of these, but it's fun to see what is out there.  53 Manhattan 2 doors are at least pretty rare cars. As I have found out on my 49 Virginian, nobody is restoring these incredibly rough cars anymore.

The other problem is that when the sellers have these unrealistic prices, a person can't make a reasonable offer. I would offer $500 for BOTH 53 2 door Manhattans (because one has a drivetrain if I remember) because that is fair.  Whether one is restoring a 53 (fill in the blank) convertible or a 53 Manhattan, the costs are going to be astronomical, about the same.

One might pay $5000 for a rarer a more desirable 53 Buick Roadmaster convertible in similar condition because when restored it would be worth $50,000 to $100,000 but a pristine 53 Manhattan coupe might bring $20,000 after vigorous marketing.

Nonetheless, when I was browsing the Internet and spotted these, I thought it worth posting.

Looking at it from the glass is half full angle- 2500 1953 Manhattan Club Sedans ( 2 door) were made in 1953. Rare cars. And only 1000 (and 1) Travelers were made in 1953.  Even rarer.
