Free New Brake Shoes

The 1950 Kaiser parts car had a set of brand new brake shoes in it and lots of new wheel cylinders.  These are free to a good home. Now, I know normally one would not use these but the shoes are VERY NICE and I would not hesitate. They were kept dry and the friction material is perfect. The wheel cylinders I would recommend a rebuild but the metal bodies are perfect and the rubber seals are supple as new.   I know KF parts can be purchased at NAPA etc but I hate to just throw these out when Virginian #612 gets crushed, so they are free.  let me know of interest.

Hmmm...the shoes do not appear to be KF. They look more like Mopar with the loop eye at the one end.

Don't toss them...I will take them if available.  Kaiser-Frazer used three different types of brake shoes in 1949-50 model run because of a supply problem at Wagner-Lockheed.  One type used had the Chrysler type wheel cylinders according to the special brake parts supplement put out in August 1949.

Let me get them out, sort them out and take a better photo. I can tell you that the shoes and cylinders were in the back seat floor area of a 1950 Kaiser Special parts car.
