54 Willys Aero Tail Light
« on: September 24, 2013, 12:17:09 AM »
Having trouble removing the upper  rear lens, afraid it is going to break in the process. Anyone know where I can find some spare upper rear lenses? Also need the Willys grille W.

I have a driver quality tail light lens for the 54. Send me a PM if you break yours. Have you tried to work fishline back and forth to break the bond of the gasket? Good Luck

After unscrewing the screw at the top rear, use a thin screwdriver to pry up lightly at the center rear-most and bottom-most portion of the lens. The lens has a small extension that fits into a hole in the potmetal light assembly just behind where I told you to pry. It will pop out and will eventually wear down (chip away) with many removals.
