Dang, there is a good thread on here for this but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, the '53 Henry J has an extra bit of gasket that the earlier cars don't have -

The rubber gasket along the front edge of the door frames is only on the '53 Js. It really helps so if you have something you can use for that, I recommend it.
Here's some pictures of the '52 Vagabond. This is not the original weatherstrip but it's the same type put on the same way.

This is along the rear edge of Edgar Kaiser's car and is done like the original

Here's what's on the front edge of Edgar Kaiser's custom J. This one really works well but it's not what the cars had originally that's for sure.

If you're going for originality/authenticity, then the first pics of my green J are what you need. If you want it to seal, the way it was done on Edgar's car (the front of the frame) does the job!
