The Lucite sail used on the 49-50 Kaiser hood ornament can be extremely hard to find. I bought the last NOS unit Fred Walker had - and that was 20 years ago.

JoeFrazer,
Do you have the center-to-center mounting dimensions for your NOS Ornament?  Also, do you have a way to provide me with a profile of the Lucite?
Also, will you sell the NOS Ornament, and How Much?

NOS ornaments show up on eBay occasionally and they seem to be valued at close to $400.  That was what I paid for my '49 Kaiser ornament.

Gordie,
I actually sent my question to JoeFrazer.
Sorry, I wasn't more explicit.  He probably has other things going on at this time and just hasn't had time to answer.
However, I'm glad that you are alive and answering questions asked to "others".  It reminds me of my Wife.
Have a good day,
Jerry

I seem to remember someone making some of the Lucite sails a few years back.  Was it Don Pribble?  Of course you would still need the base.  I sold no fewer than 3 complete NOS 49/50 Kaiser ornaments in the past.

The NOS ornament is on my 50K so it's not for sale. The car is in storage while my other building is finished so I can't get measurements at the moment. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Thank You Sir,
I appreciate your thoughtfulness,
Jerry
PS  IF you find time and can do so, perhaps you can answer my other questions, i.e., the bolt spacing and the profile of the plastic.  I will make a CAD drawing of the complete Hood Ornament Model and provide it to the entire KFOCI Club on this website at "no charge" if you are will do so.  Rare parts such as these are incredibly hard to come by, but I am not a selfish person and am willing to do my part to ensure that anyone who wants and needs one will be served in a gratuitous manner.  My late WWII Veteran Uncle who owned my car is watching us, and I wish to make him proud of all of us.
