Purolator canister filter decal
« on: March 05, 2010, 08:21:58 AM »
Good morning all

Continuing with our '51 Henry J, engine is nearing completion - now we've got to get busy on the frame and running gear so we have something to bolt the engine back into!

I've been powdercoating the black parts, including the canister oil filter and bracket - they look great and will stand up to service nicely going forward.  But I'd like to replace the Purolator sticker on the newly powder coated canister oil filter housing.  Do any of you have a source for that sticker?  I see Rudy has one for the Fram filter on a 51-55 Kaiser in his catalog but doesn't show one for the Purolator canister on the Henry J's.

Any help would be appreciated
Dave and Tom

Dave and Tom,

The Kaiser-Frazer Club International sells them. They are offered through the Manufacturing Fund. You can find all the ordering information usually on the back page of the KFOCI Bulletin. The sell a 2-piece set, but you will need only one part of it.

Decal, Purolator Oil Filter (2-piece set) (D8)  $2.50 each

I have powder coated my canister oil filter and bracket as well. I have sent you an e-mai with pictures attached showing my canister with decal.

Best,

Thanks, Mark.
Joined KFOCI last year and contributed to the mfg fund but have not seen a bulliten.  Sent an email into them earlier this week, sounds like i just need to get my hand on the list (and see what other goodies they have that we will need!).

Great pictures by the way - Canister looks great and your rolling frame/engine look fantastic!

Dave/Tom,

You mentiond that you joined the KFOCI but have not yet seen a bulletin? If it's been more than 45 days since you joined, there is a problem with the mailing. Please email me with your address (the one you used to sign up) and I will follow up with our membership manager to make sure everything is in order. The bulletin is monthly and is full of classified ads, including an order form for manufacturing fund items.

Of course, I assume here that you paid your dues when you joined. Some folks join but don't remit dues right way so until they're paid, nothing will be mailed.

Sounds like you're getting another J back on the road...that's a good thing!
