Joe Frazer and ROTOTILLER

I have been a collector of G-P Rototillers as a hobby since 2000 and have owned one since 1977. Besides collecting the G-P Rototiller, I collect all Rototiller brand equipment and I am equally interested in the history of both companies. Early on in my hobby Robert C Antram was a big help in providing information he had collected over the years and also shared questions that he still had. I read all the articles I could find on Rototiller, especially the G-P Rototiller. I had the great opportunity to connect with former Troy-Bilt employees, a couple of these people had father's who worked for Rototiller in Troy, NY. In 2012 I went to Troy and spent a day at the Rensselaer County Historical Society and Museum to research their archives from the Garden Way Company. Among those files was some great information pertaining to the contract with G-P to build a version of the large tiller that Rototiller, Inc. was building until 1944. So with that information and information from other sources I wrote a story on the history of the "Frazer Rototiller". It is posted on my website at

Excellent work !!!!! It's always nice to know there are others who are interested in the history of these machines and Joe Frazer's involvement.
While I don't have one of these tillers - I have always been interested in them as I have a collection of old farm equipment. I have also seen Bob Antrams collection which is quite extensive and very informative. Bob's display used to be at Penn State's Ag Progress Show each year and I always enjoyed seeing it and talking with Bob !!!
Again - great job on the article !!!

Thank you, appreciate the comments. I was at Ag Progress days one year that he had it there. That year he had his large trailer, a smaller trailer, and his Jaques-Frazer Model T tractor.
