The day has been saved by Terry Zeug in Camarillo, CA who found an accelerator pedal in an unmarked box of parts! Thank you Terry!

Unfortunately, mine did wear out. I can't believe there aren't some around somewhere on the parts cars. I'll get an ad in the bulletin. Thanks again.

Okay, time to be creative. Has anyone adapted another model car's accelerator pedal, if so, please share make and model. If these Frazer pedals are so hard to find, what is everyone else doing about a pedal? Does the Kaiser pedal adapt over? I am open for any suggestions as to how to recreate this elusive pedal :) Thank you.

Frazer Forum / NEEDED 1949 Frazer Accelerator Pad
« on: March 05, 2013, 11:15:33 AM »
Does anyone have a good condition or new 1949 Accelerator Pad for sale? I've called all the usual recommended sources  without success. If you do have one, please respond with price, etc.  Finally, my beautiful 1949 Frazer is going to be on the road. Ed Ewing (El Dorado KF Club-Northern California) has worked hard to get her running and safe. Seems I had a great engine, but the rest of the operations were pretty rusted and frozen, but Ed worked a bunch of miracles! Can't wait to drive her, but need an accelerator pedal  :) :)

Thank you all.

Great, thank you so much! She was born in March 1949 if I added correctly. Retagged door post tag is F-505-015807.  So does that work out as March 1949 give or take?

Frazer Forum / Body Tag Info - 1949/1950 Frazer Standard
« on: September 06, 2012, 10:02:07 AM »
I know this was posted once before but of course I need the info and can't find it. Going to the Roamin' Angels Classic Car show with my Frazer and am writing my information sheet. On my body tag, bottom row, half way in I have an "A" with a "6" under it, next to that is SCHED with "157" above it and TEM NO with a "339" above it. I think it was told to me that it all meant that my car was produced June 1949 (don't know what the "157" means) and it was the 339th car off the assembly line.

Please can someone fill in the blanks (what does the 157 mean) and is June correct?

Thank you, thank you!

It isn't an actual handbook, it is a CD. I didn't get one for quite awhile, but finally called and they sent me one.

Thanks Fid, I think you are correct, that part is missing or may still be in the box of parts that are in the trunk. Appreciate everyone's help. It truly takes a village to restore a car :-)

Thanks for the info.  Wish they had made the shop manual in color :-)

Thanks for the additional resources. I was able to get one from Rudy Phillips out here in southern California.

Thanks Fid. So what is it I need to make it complete so the OD works? Does anyone have a picture of what a functioning one should look like? I have a box of pieces and parts, maybe it is in that somewhere if I knew what to look for.

I do have the Shop Manual for 1947-1949 Models. What picture of a box are you referring to? I don't see any picture of a box similar to mine in the Transmission/Overdrive section (page 129). My box is 1-1/2" tall and 2-1/2" long and attaches to the fire wall. There is nothing coming out of it other than there appears to be at least 3 wires going in different directions. So is it possible that the small box is a drop down resistor? I can't find a picture of what a resistor looks like.

Rudy was my first call Monday morning, but just in case he didn't have one, it would be good to know. Thanks again for the assistance.

Thank you for info. Bob is making my harness as we speak. Do you have any suggestions for changing over from 6V to 12V? If we take out the generator and put an alternator in, what type of alternator is recommended?
