Very Nice car . I found and purchaced a 1948 Frazer last week and I am looking for as much info as I can find about the car and the car company . Can anyone help ?

Beautiful Frazer. I have its brother in my garage. Owned it since 1977, came from California. It is Cardinal Red and pretty nice as well, but I think yours has it beat. Unfortunately I have neglected it over the last several years and though it ran well, it has not been started in about 11 years. Am planning on trying to get it going soon. Am hoping that new battery, fresh coolant and gasoline will do the trick, but it might be too long for these simple measures to be enough. Am open to any other suggestions you may have. Thank You, and once again nice car .

The subject Frazer now resides in my garage after purchasing it about 3 years ago. Odometer now reads slightly less than 48,000 miles. It needed a good clean up and a little mechanical work but overall it's a very nice car. The original interior is nearly in mint condition, only a slight wear to the driver side carpet. I need to do some more work on it as it leaks oil nearly everywhere, motor, trans, rear end.

Just curious - do you know if this was the '51 Frazer that sold at the Zimmerman auction in Blaine, MN in 2002?  That one was very nice and if this is not it, it is its twin. See pictures. The auction car was purchased by the late Harlan Phillips of Wisconsin. My dad wanted it badly and we discussed it. We knew Harlan had been hovering around it for days before the auction and he was determined so I advised dad to pick a price and not go beyond it because Harlan was not going to be an easy adversary!   Dad bowed out when the figure was hit, Harlan won and his whole family rejoiced and cheered. Dad and I knew the car went to the right guy and we congratulated  him.  Harlan brought it to a meet I hosted in the Twin Cities a couple of years later. He was a good guy and very proud of that car and I was happy to know he got it.  I'm sorry he is no longer here.

These low mileage original cars provide a wealth of information for us and a restored car can never have all of the original details that get covered up in a restoration.   They are disappearing fast and the few surviving originals are really special.  I hope to see them honored at our club meets some day.
