Having been a party to the launching of the Manufacturing Fund in 1980 at the National Convention in the Minneapolis MN area, I remember what Al Mc Cullough and others from the MN area had in mind.  They wanted to sell to all, but also wanted club members to get a break in order to give a bit more value to being a KFOCI member.  It was hoped that once the thing really got going (who ever thought we would be able to offer Windshields or Gas Tanks among other itemns over the years?) non-members would realize it was worth it for them to join the club and not pay the surcharge.

In the past even members paid a one time fee of $10.00 to the Manufacturing Fund to be able to order parts.  I don't think that that would be applicable if you are paying a 15% surcharge as a non member.  Take a look at the wide range of parts that are available for a reasonable price.  The Manufacturing Fund is continually making needed parts for us.

I got Parts Few Years back from Manufacturing Fund. I may Need Gas tank soon. How do they know They Know We paid  ?

Guess I need to Check.

The Manufacturing Fund maintains a list of all who have paid in the past.  Your name should be recorded.  Don't wait too long to order that gas tank.  They are expensive for us to make and only so many have been ordered and it may be a long time until they are run again.

The $10 was a donation/contribution to help launch the program.  It was not REQUIRED to have the right to purchase parts.  That right came from being a member.  One doesn't have to prove the $10 contribution to buy parts from the Manufacturing Fund.  The 15% is required if not a member no matter how many times you buy something, and the reason the form requires your KFOCI membership number is to aid in confirming a current member.  I am sure Adam checks.  Former/non-current members have to add the 15% because, remember, the $10 was only a CONTRIBUTION, not a purchase of the right to buy.

Jake, you can "get anything" from the Mfg Fund by paying the surcharge, but if you want to "get anything" from the club or any Registry you must be a member.

CONSTITUTION Article 2 Section 5:  Membership in the club is required for membership in any Division, Region and/or Registry.

Barbara, that wording is somewhat confusing to me.   
Does it mean that you have to be a member of the national club in order to be a member/participant in the local club?

I join the wpc club. and drop out  I get stuff from them if I paid or not..

I just paid my 2019 dues. I guess they just like a good turn out..

I'm glad you like the Walter P. Chrysler Club as much as you do.  We will be sorry to see you depart from the KFOCI Forum. 

This is NOT the WPC, Buick Club, Cadillac/LaSalle Club...we are the KFOCI and we do things in accordance with what the majority of the memborship of our club wants, rather than some what some NON-MEMBERS think should be done.   

The Manufacturing Fund provides needed items that the regular mainstream parts vendors do not.  It is set up to encourage club membership by favoring members in regards to pricing.  It's been that way for nearly 40 years and the complainers seem to be people not club members.

Not sure how a kaiser membership  will benefits me.. It all about networking.. to find car parts.

Since not a lot of guys are restoring  the kaiser cars.. Not A high demand for parts..

I listed a few item in the newsletter not one thing sold..

I sold stuff in hemming s..  I know a 100.00 ad price is more than the club dues..  but I sold my item..

Jack I do like the wpc club in Omaha.. I go every year to their Christmas party.. They have great food..
