For Sale --1952 Allstate project in progress
« on: October 03, 2020, 03:15:23 PM »
I'm just putting out a feeler here. I will have a complete file of pics and a list of parts up soon. I am located in Central California, Merced.

The owner has lost interest and so have I the assembler. Many new parts with a 6 cyl Allstate head that was completely rebuilt properly. Body work is at rust repaired, floor pans and door sills done. Sanded and premiered on rotisserie. Chassis is blasted, painted. New white walls , brakes,  shocks etc. 3 speed trans. New glass and rubber , new wiring harness. Has all emblems and parts. No chroming has been done. All interior parts are here in fair condition. Also have window fan accessory. Rebuilt radiator and proper hub caps. Brand new exhaust from Waldrons.

Call if you like ------- I will listen to all offers , I might deliver if it works for me.  Thanks for all the help here . Mark 209-617-8554

Several good pictures would really help your sale.  Is this a standard or deluxe model?  small or large hubcaps?

That is true for a Henry J but the Allstate's could be ordered five ways in 1952.
#210 4 cyl standard, #213 4 cyl dlx,  @214 4 cyl dlx with overdrive, #215 6 cyl dlx, #216 6 cyl dlx with overdrive.  My own car is a 4cyl with overdrive and I thought it was a standard but maybe not.  I don't know what features made them a standard or deluxe other than the size of the wheel covers.  The '52 brochure shows all illustrations of the cars with bumper guards and wheel covers but not the '53's. The dealer book for 1953 shows the large wheel covers as accessories not standard equipment plus no mention of bumper guards even as accessories.  There is still lots to learn about the Allstate's!

True Gordie - the Allstate model breakdown was a little different than the HJ>
1953 Henry J Corsair Deluxe
Edgar Kaiser's custom 1951 Henry J
1951 Kaiser Special
1952 Allstate Deluxe

Some how I ended up with Edgar Kaiser's personal engraved Zippo lighter with a Kaiser Industries logo on it and I think that it would be the perfect accessory for Edgar's Henry J glove compartment.  Edgar like everyone back then was a cigarette smoker.

Is that the same lighter Edgar used to start the Hydramatic plant fire?

(just kidding)

A lot of people (including yours truly) don't fool with Zip files; does not work on older computers any more (you have to buy the current software that will not work on Windows 7 and earlier).  Post the pictures as theyr type (preferably JPG) and you may get more interest.
