Removing Ignition Switch
« on: January 18, 2022, 09:23:25 PM »
I need to re-chrome the dash on my 51 kaiser and need to remove the ignition switch. I stick a small wire into the hole on the bottom of the tumbler with the key inserted and feel a spring depress but then nothing comes apart.  The manual says nothing about this.  What am I doing wrong?

Once you depress the spring, turn the cylinder counter clockwise and pull it out. You should also disconnect the battery.

disconnecting the battery first is highly recommended.
