1947 K-F Accessory folder
« on: March 29, 2010, 01:44:19 PM »
The Complete U.S Automobile Sales Literature Checklist 1946-2000 by Kenneth Eisbrener lists a 1947 KF Accessory folder that is described as 4X7.5 and 16 pages.  There is also the 1948 folder listed that we're familiar with at 3.5 X 7.5, 16 pages "Here's Extra Pleasure"  This one is easily identified as 1948 as the illustration of the license frames are mounted on a license that says "1948".  Has anyone seen or own the 1947 accessory folder that is different from the 1948 folder?  I am wondering if there was really one printed or are they both the same?  Your comments are appreciated.

I would suggest that the author of that checklist be contacted to see about getting a picture of the cover or how he determined that such an item exists.  Given the contents of various P&A bulletins issued during 1947, I find it hard to believe that Kaiser-Frazer had enough firm commitments from suppliers to put somethng together on accessories that required 16 pages.

I have never heard of this document.

It is supposedly a folder approximately the same size and layout as the 1948 issue.  Ben had not heard of it either and I am just wondering if they are one and the same?  If no one has one then It probably does not exist.
