Wow, that guy liked the independents and orphans.  Hudsons, bathtub Nashes, spotted one for sure 51 Frazer. 

That would be fun to go to, just to observe.  I recently sold my 49 Chrysler New Yorker, my 48 Packard Custom 8 and a 1970 Buick.  I had $6500 in the 3 cars and got $4000 for all 3.    Now the $4000 is burning a whole in my savings account but I think I am out.  Total have lost about $6000 in the past 12 months, including that 49 Virginian.

Bill Hafker..whose estate they are selling...was a close friend of mine. He used to live in Hyannis, MA, next door to the Kennedy compound in a house on a lot that was shared with a Chinese restaurant. At that time, he had over 50 cars parked in the back of their lot and to my amazement, most ran and drove. Bill also collected old juke boxes and 45 rpm records. Bill's favorite car was a 54 Hudson Jet that he drove everywhere. I recall jumping in it with him and driving to Front Royal, VA just to check out a lead on yet another Kaiser. The car was junk but we did stop and have lunch at a nice place so the day wasn't a total loss.

Bill moved to western Minnesota years later and his health then failed him. I was saddened to hear of his passing. I hope the cars get into the hands of folks who will save them,

That's quite a change from MA to MN.  Did he ever say why?  Just curious.  That auction is doable for me and like I said, I might go check it out for fun.  I have been to 3 of Yvette Vanderbrinks auctions. She is a nice lady, very tough and a great businesswoman.  I get her direct emails.

I might add that his project cars will likely go very cheap.  There is no market for hard to restore full-on projects.   I suspect that 51 Frazer will go for $500.
